Carousel Industries buys San Diego firm

The telecommunications and data networking company Carousel Industries Inc. has acquired San Diego-based Daycom Systems, another telecommunications services firm.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Daycom was founded in 1992 by Richard Day, and employs more than 550 people, according to information released by the two firms.

Exeter-based Carousel, one of the largest private companies headquartered in Rhode Island, said the deal would expand its reach and further deepen the company’s longstanding relationship with the big enterprise communications firm Avaya.
