Cofounder of Providence Geeks encourages young entrepreneurs

The next generation of young entrepreneurs will be known as the “digital natives.”

These are the children born of the information age — people who are naturally tech-savvy, having grown up in a world where Internet access, downloading videos or music, having personal Web pages and instant messaging are the norm.

It is perhaps one of the best advantages any young entrepreneur has, said Jack Templin, the cofounder of Providence Geeks and program director for RI Nexus. Templin emphasized this and similar points to roughly 200 students who attended a forum Thursday morning titled Young Innovators and Entrepreneurs: How a New Generation is Reshaping their Careers and the Economy.
