By recycling, Cox says it has kept 300 tons of trash out of state landfill

With Earth Day being celebrated nationwide Wednesday, Cox chose this week to showcase the myriad of initiatives it has launched to keep mountains of electronics debris and other trash from ending up at the state Central Landfill, in Johnston.

By combining recycling and repair efforts –– plus a composting campaign –– Cox New England estimates that it has diverted about 300 tons of trash from Rhode Island’s waste stream.
