Five small-business owners and four small-business advocates are among the 2009 Rhode Island small business award winners announced Tuesday by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Ann-Marie Harrington, president of Embolden Design, a Web development and technology consulting firm, is the Rhode Island Small Business Person of the Year. She founded the Pawtucket-based business 11 years ago. Harrington and the other winners will be honored at an awards luncheon June 10 at the Alpine Country Club in Cranston.
