For 29 graduating seniors in Rhode Island School of Design’s film-animation-video department, the next four days will be a series of nail-biting world premieres as they finally see the projects they’ve been working on all year up on the big screen in the RISD Auditorium.

The program is so big that it’s split up into two nights, though each film will be shown twice — Schedule A films will be screened Wednesday, May 13, and Friday, May 15. Schedule B goes on screen Thursday, May 14, and Saturday, May 16.

As usual it’s a mixed bag of live-action films, animated films and videos, some only a few minutes long, some up to a half hour, ranging in tone from comedy to drama to, well, nearly indescribable. But all the ones previewed prove that there’s a lot of imagination and talented hands and minds at work on the RISD campus.
