Screening calls from in-laws and bill collectors just got a lot easier.
A new service from Cox Communications adds the popular caller ID feature to the television. When a call comes in, an announcement appears at the bottom of the screen identifying the caller and number.
The service, available beginning Monday to customers who subscribe to Cox’s digital cable and phone services, is free. It’s also optional, giving TV viewers the ability to decrease the duration of the interruption or eliminate it entirely.
