Full Story: New Cox feature puts caller ID on TV Source: Providence Business News, May 19th, 2009 Author: Ted Nesi Added on May 20th, 2009 at 11:12 am, by Matt Mikula...Cox has announced the introduction this week of a new feature for its Rhode Island cable and telephone customers called Caller ID to the TV. The feature does exactly what it says – when a phone call comes in, a message pops up on the television screen identifying the name and phone number of the caller.
The service is being offered for free to Cox customers who subscribe to the company’s digital telephone caller ID and digital cable services. The Atlanta-based telecommunications giant has said it plans to roll out the TV caller ID to more than 90 percent of its eligible customers this year, according to Multichannel News.
