Providence Business News and Best Companies Group today announced the winners of the annual Best Places To Work in Rhode Island competition for 2009.

The 28 organizations – which range in size from large (150 or more employees) to medium (50 to 149 employees) to small (as few as 15 employees) – were judged on their responses to both an extensive management report and an employee survey. The resulting data were compiled by Best Companies, an independent research organization based in Harrisburg, Pa., which then chose the winners.
