The state government has hit refresh on its Web portal, RI.gov.

The Web site has a new look and ocean-themed design, as well as increased functionality. The site’s accessibility has been enhanced with improved mobile, text and high-contrast versions, in addition to the standard format.

The site takes advantage of social media, with tie-ins to Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as well as RSS feeds. Submissions to RI.gov’s Flickr photo group are displayed in a Photograph Rhode Island section, and the most popular content is spotlighted on the main page.
