Enterprise Club of RI launched for successful entrepreneurs

Focus on specific subset of entrepreneurs keeps offerings relevant

Founders Jeff Deckman and Robert Fiske created the Enterprise Club of Rhode Island exclusively for accomplished entrepreneurs who have operated the business they founded for at least two years and whose annual revenues are $500,000 or higher.

He said the club is designed to respond to the needs of its members as they enter the emerging knowledge-based economy, which relies heavily on the creativity and collaboration of companies. It is designed to foster the sharing of knowledge and lead to friendships that can help entrepreneurs access what they need to know to run their businesses effectively.

In addition, the club will host eight events per year with nationally renowned speakers and authors, each including a problem-solving workshop/roundtable discussion, a business book and dinner. The club will also host two major social events per year.

The fact that the club is designed by accomplished entrepreneurs for accomplished entrepreneurs also adds value to its offerings, said Deckman, who has started five companies [including Warwick-based Synet], run several nonprofits, chaired RITech (now the Tech Collective) and been on the board of the R.I. Economic Policy Council.
