Oceanic center ushers in ‘new phase of scientific discovery’

Naughton and the taxpayers of Rhode Island were singled out for repeated thank-yous Monday morning as the state’s political leaders joined scientists, Navy officers and hundreds of others in opening the new Ocean Science and Exploration Center at the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography.
