The Rhode Island Innovation Network will hold its inaugural event Thursday, a half-day workshop on helping companies develop new ideas and boost profits. The workshop, “Profit 101” runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Culinary Arts Museum at Johnson & Wales University, 315 Harborside Blvd., Providence. Doug Hall, an author, television personality and the founder and chief executive officer of Eureka! Ranch International, based in Newtown, Ohio, will lead the event. The Rhode Island Manufacturing Extension Services Inc., Rhode Island Science and Technology Advisory Council and the Rhode Island Small Business Development Center, in conjunction with their Innovation Monday Program, have launched the Rhode Island Innovation Network to bring together different people in the business world.
