Lighthouse Computer Services, one of Rhode Island's fastest growing technology solutions providers, and the Tech Collective, Rhode Islands Industry Partner for Information Technology and Biosciences, has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center senior, Myles Kalf. Kalf received the scholarship on June 16th at the WACTC's annual awards night held at Wright's Farm.

The scholarship was awarded by a selected committee on the criteria that the applying student be a Rhode Island resident affiliated with Military service and entering an IT, MIS or Computer Science field program at a Rhode Island college or university. Kalf's mother is a retired Captain of the US Army Reserves; Kalf is planning to enter the Game Development and Simulation program at the New England Institute of Technology this fall.
