Atrion Networking Corporation, a leading provider of information technology and managed services, today announces it has placed number 455 on the CRN 2009 VAR 500 list. Based upon the previous year’s gross revenues, the VAR 500 is a ranking of the fastest growing “IT consultants, solution providers, traditional resellers and vendor services arms” nationwide.

This is the second consecutive year that Atrion has appeared on the list. Its 2009 ranking of 455 moves it up 16 places from last year’s position of 471. Partially accounting for Atrion’s growth over the past 12 months are: its acquisition of the multi-media and design company, Shazamm; its expansion into the Hope Artiste Village with its new Customer Interface Division (CID); the introduction of a new, full-scale Microsoft® Office SharePoint® practice area; and the continued success of its maxtime Managed Services offerings. Atrion has filled nearly 45 new job openings over the past 18 months.
