Dassault Systèmes S.A. said today second-quarter revenue grew by double digits at its Providence-based virtual-testing software subsidiary, Simulia, even as the parent company’s profit fell 41 percent.

Dassault Systèmes (FR: DSY) posted second-quarter net income of €25.7 million ($36.12 million), or 22 cents per share, in the three months ended June 30, down from €43.2 million, or 36 cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue fell 11 percent year over year to €310.9 million ($436.91 million).
