There were scads of artists and creative types who embodied the do-it-yourself spirit of AS220’s Foo Fest on Saturday, but one of the better examples must have been Shawn Wallace and his homemade video game that used “hobo” controllers.

Why hobo?

Because, said Wallace as he toyed with the rough devices made of cigar boxes and pennies, “This is how hobos would work their video games.”
