Large auto supplier Dana picks Providence's Simulia

Dana Holding Corp., a major automotive parts supplier, will use Providence-based Simulia’s virtual-testing software, Simulia SLM, parent company Dassault Systèmes S.A. said last week.

Simulia and Toledo, Ohio-based Dana (NYSE: DAN) signed an agreement that will allow Dana to use Simulia SLM – short for Simulation Lifecycle Management – “to capture and better leverage product-performance knowledge and engineering expertise created during the design simulation process,” Dassault said in a news release.
