Fab Labs taking shape at AS220

AS220 is offering a course on how to use the fabrication equipment it recently purchased through the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s network of fabrication laboratories, or Fab Labs, which provide public access to training, technology and equipment to design and build new products.

Participants can learn how to use and create long-term projects using the lab’s machines, which include a small-scale laser cutter, a milling machine and a vinyl cutter, all of which are hooked up to a computer network that offers free open-access design software.
