Cox Communications Inc. announced it has upgraded and expanded services under its ON DEMAND application, available to Digital Cable subscribers.

The news came just after rival Verizon Communications Inc. announced the release of its new In-Home Agent computer application, which allows subscribers to manage their television, phone and Internet accounts via their PCs.
