For the third year in a row, Cox Communications Inc. has placed first in J.D. Power and Associates’ annual residential phone service survey of customers in the East.

Each year, the J.D. Power survey asks roughly 21,000 customers in the United States how satisfied they are with their local and long-distance telephone service in five categories: customer service; performance and reliability; cost of service; billing; and offerings and promotions.
