GreenBytes Inc., a two-year-old maker of energy-efficient data-storage products, has hired Rich Shea, an executive who helped grow EqualLogic before its $1.4 billion purchase by Dell Computer, as its new vice president of sales.

The company said Shea will lead the sales push on GreenBytes’ new GB-X Series de-duplication storage appliances. His responsibilities will include developing the GreenBytes sales organization and building the company’s growing network of resellers.
