(NASDAQ: MEDW), a health care IT company based in Lenexa, Kansas, has announced that it will buy Cranston-based Healthcare Automation Inc. as well as Advantage Reimbursement Inc., of Andover, Mass.
The two companies, bought from a single ownership group, provide software and outsourced reimbursement services to home health providers, specifically home infusion and specialty pharmacies. Mediware said it’s acquiring them as part of a market expansion strategy to increase its penetration of the home care solutions market.
