Biotechnology company EpiVax is set to enter into an agreement with Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche to collaborate on research involving manipulation of the body’s immune system in ways that could one day help develop drugs that tackle diseases such as diabetes and MS.

The deal is a major development for the 11-year-old EpiVax, whose immune response research –– known as Tregitope technology –– is still in the early stages, well before clinical trials.
