Applied Science Associates Inc., a science and technology solutions company with offices around the world, recently opened an office in Shanghai.

ASA said the new office reflected its commitment to support clients and deliver environmental and technology solutions in China and the East Asia region. ASA CEO Eoin Howlett visited China earlier this month to see the new location.

The company said its involvement in China began in 1998, and since then its oil-spill response tools have been widely used in the country.
