The R.I. Economic Development Corporation on Monday approved about $70,000 in tax breaks for two manufacturers and a software company that say they plan to create a combined 200 jobs over the next three years.

The agency projected that the new jobs will generate more than $800,000 in state income tax revenue over the three-year period...

...InQuest Technologies Inc., a Providence software developer that moved here from Massachusetts last year, was given what amounts to $6,700 in corporate tax cuts over three years under the state’s Job Development Act after the company said it would create 76 jobs between now and 2012.
