Just one week after announcing she would not take the helm at the R.I. Economic Development Corporation, Ioanna Morfessis is also ending her contract with the city of Maricopa, Ariz., where she has been an economic-development consultant for four years.

Morfessis’ contract was scheduled to run through June 2010, but she requested that it end this month, InMaricopa.com, a local news site, reported.
