Projo Editorial: Keith Stokes at the EDC

Governor Carcieri has chosen appropriately in naming Keith Stokes as interim director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation. The widely respected Mr. Stokes, in line to have the job at least until the next governor takes over, at the start of 2011, was nominated after the decision of Ioanna Morfessis, of Arizona, not to take the job after all, whether because of a family illness or because she thought that the job would be too much of a hot seat in an election year. (J. Michael Saul has been doing a competent job as the acting director.)
