Web-services firm Creative:Interactive Inc. has released a Red Sox opening-day countdown iPhone application.

The app displays the number of days, hours, minutes and seconds until the first games of Spring Training and Opening Day. The Red Sox will open their season at home against their rival, the New York Yankees, on Sunday, April 4.

The application also features a slideshow of photos of Fenway Park and Red Sox team members. Half of the proceeds from the 99 cent app will be donated to the Red Sox Foundation.
