Tech Collective, the state’s information technology and bioscience-industry association, is offering five scholarships totaling $7,000. The scholarships are funded by two businesses and a fund to assist students looking to enter the IT field.

Lincoln-based Lighthouse Computer Services has established two $1,000 scholarships open to Rhode Island high school students or post-secondary students pursuing an IT career who also have been members of the military or are children of military personnel.
