In October 2009, Jim Hummel, former newspaper and TV reporter with more than 26 years of experience, launched his Web site, Hummel Report, featuring a weekly video investigation that promises to “dig out the dirt.”

The enterprise is being run as a nonprofit corporation; his partner is William Felkner, the principal behind the nonprofit Ocean State Policy Research Institute. Hummel recently spoke with Providence Business News about the site and its target audience.
