RI business leaders see hopeful economic signs

Rhode Island business owners and executives who responded to an annual statewide survey on the economy are increasingly hopeful that a recovery will begin in 2010, but not enough to persuade most of them to start hiring again.

That sense of cautious optimism was on display Tuesday during a breakfast forum in which the results of the 10th annual Economic Outlook survey by Sovereign Bank and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce were released.
