Jack Goodison, CEO and chief financial officer of J. Goodison Company Inc., has been named Small Business Person of the Year by the Rhode Island office of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Goodison and seven other award recipients will be honored at the Rhode Island Salute to Small Business Awards luncheon on June 2 at the Alpine Country Club in Cranston. The event is co-sponsored by the Joseph G.E. Knight SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) Chapter in Providence.
