Providence's Logicomm - from part-time gig to full-on career

Jim Van’s foray into information technology began simply enough: Back in 1994, when he ran a ticket-sales company that specialized in overseas events, he wanted to build a site on what was then a little-known computer network, the Internet.

He figured out how to do it himself.

So when he sold the ticket business a year later, he reckoned he could use that know-how to start a website-design venture.

Logicomm Inc. was born.
