State pitches loan guarantee to lure video-game company
State economic development officials are proposing to bring 38 Studios LLC, the video-game development company founded by retired Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling, from Massachusetts to Rhode Island. To lure the company here, the state would guarantee a $75-million loan. 38 Studios has promised to bring at least 400 jobs — with an average salary of $72,500 — to the state by the end of 2012.
