I am currently the CTO of an Alcatel-Lucent company, Packetvideo Network Solutions, developing and deploying worldwide advanced multimedia network systems for 3G/4G/WiMAX wireless and fixed networks.  I work out of an office in Portsmouth although our headquarters are located in San Diego, CA. 

I am interested in become more active in local innovation initiatives as I approach retirement.  I have been an innovator my entire career of over 38 years and would like to pass on some of my extensive knowledge to our next generation of innovators.  I have mentored many teams over my long career in innovation, system design, software development and technology assessment.

My career includes many years of advances technology development on a broad range of projects and for a number of large companies and smaller startup.   Over the last 20 years I have been a key player in at least 5 startup operations – two as independent companies and three within larger companies (Motorola, Alcatel and C.S. Draper Labs).
