Title: AIGA RI redesign by Highchair designhaus (Forum)

I should have announced this three months ago, but due to a series of bungles and episodes of forgetfulness, I never remembered to. So it is a bit late, but just as heartfelt.

During 2008, myself and other board members of AIGA RI worked with Highchair designhaus on the redesign of ri.aiga.org, both from a content and design perspective. Being on the opposite side of a web redesign project (director instead of developer) was a bit more difficult than I expected, and it took a few attempts for us to properly convery our goals and desires to Highchair. J and Jamie took this in stride, and combined their ideas from multiple design options into a design that everyone at AIGA RI loves.

So, huge thanks to Highchair for making RI the best looking AIGA chapter in the country. We couldn't have gotten to this point without you.

I'm @dpie and new to the twitter. I'll be barking from North Main Street in Providence.

The DandyID site looks great, but more impressive is the concise wording they use to explain what their service does: "Connect, manage and share all of your social identifiers from a single location. Let friends on one service find you quickly and easily on another!" That's a nice summary of a potentially-complex-for-users concept.

Nomatter how far out they push the DTV switchover, there will still be the same problems. Another year of TV ads, regardless of how clear their language is, won't help 100% of TV viewers get converter boxes in their hands.

http://officelab.us/ This is an awesome concept. I hope the open house is going well!

The new site looks great -- very easy to navigate. I love the concept behind the application, and wish my complex used it.

I read the comic and played with Chrome for a bit. I love all the new ideas it brings to the browser market, and it seems wicked fast. I hope Google gets the Mac version out in the next few months. But even if they do, I can't see myself switching to it on my work machine. I'm too locked into Firefox's Web Developer Toolbar's secret sauce. Here's hoping for a Chrome equivalent once the extensions API goes live.
Source: Anyone here have Verizon Fios yet? (Forum) Submitted: August 26th, 2008 - 11:36am link
Does anyone on North Main Street (or nearby) in Providence have FiOS? At our office we're stuck with slow Verizon DSL and no option for COX cable (its an old building). Verizon keeps giving me the runaround on when FiOS is coming to our building, and they can't even verify if anyone nearby has it yet.
