Hello All,

I wanted to share information on an upcoming mock Medical Emergency Distribution System (MEDS) Exercise occurring in Providence on Saturday, May 17th 2008 from 9a-12p.

Providence Emergency Management Agency is conducting this mock exercise and is looking for volunteers to participate in the exercise to act as patients.

Volunteers will receive:

* Food & Beverages

* Emergency Disaster Kits will also be raffled off

I wanted to share information on a new CERT team being coordinated in Providence. Free Training is to be provided as well.

To all Providence Residents

Become a member of your neighborhood COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (CERT).

Learn how to help in the time of need.  Learn to Help yourself, your family and your community.

Weekly Evening Classes Starting Soon.

Topics include basic first-aid, light search & rescue and many other topics.

It does sound interesting.  I agree that it is hard to find the time to organize and/or attend such an event, but I do think that it would be interested to have such an event in Prov. I haven't been to the Prov Geeks events yet but would like to go to their Nov event, being a geek at heart - that and startups interrest me.

Very Interesting.   At first I saw it counter-clockwise and then clockwise.  If I focus I can have it switch directions.
